BEWARE OF Non Official Suppliers and Vendors. Leading up to CMTS, you may likely receive solicitations from several non-official contractors offering services such as participation in a trade directory for additional payment, audio visual, housing, carpeting, rental exhibits as well as “turn-key” display services, etc. This has become increasingly common in recent years and some of these suppliers may be fraudulent or, at the very least, deliver a level of services less than reasonably anticipated or expected.
Only those suppliers listed in the Exhibitor Manual and displaying the official vendor logo are sanctioned official vendors.
These companies have been specifically selected for their experience, knowledge, integrity and professionalism in serving the events industry. Please note that as Official Vendors, we have permitted representatives from these companies to contact you regarding specific deadlines and/or service opportunities.
Examples of Non-Official Suppliers that may contact you include, among others:
“Show Guide” or “Show Directory” | “Free Listing”
CMTS is not associated with any outside organization to provide exhibitor listings online or in print. CMTS produces the Official Show Guide and online listing at cmts.ca, both are complimentary to CMTS exhibitors. This publication is the only CMTS publication that is put directly into the attendee’s hands on-site. Any additional upgrade to an exhibitor listing can only be purchased through your CMTS Sales Executive.

CMTS Attendee Email/Mail Lists
CMTS does not sell or rent exhibitor or attendee information to outside companies.
Hotel resellers who are not official CMTS hotels may contact you offering housing – they are not endorsed or affiliated with CMTS in any way. View Official Hotels
Exhibitors and event marketers should be aware of these kinds of improper solicitations and should take note of the practice as well as refrain from acknowledging opportunities that are not directly associated with CMTS, unless the offer is legitimate.
If you receive any solicitation resembling those referenced above, we strongly advise you to read the fine print on the listing form carefully before committing yourself to purchasing services.
If you have any questions, please contact us.
