SONAMI now accepting applications for innovation projects The Southern Ontario Network for Advanced Manufacturing Innovation (SONAMI) is a network of six colleges and one university who, through their respective Research & Innovation Centres, are collaborating with small- and medium-sized companies to move innovation along the path to commercialized products. SONAMI leverages faculty, students and state-of-the-market equipment, together with funding from the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev), to support manufacturing in southern Ontario. Consisting of Conestoga College, Fanshawe College, Lambton College, McMaster University, Mohawk College, Niagara College and Sheridan College, SONAMI partners have capabilities in: Additive Manufacturing Flexible Manufacturing High Productivity Manufacturing Industry Internet / Industry 4.0 Companies who partner with SONAMI must contribute a 1:1 match to the government funding (combination cash and in-kind, with 20% minimum cash).
