Khaled Samk is an Additive Manufacturing Metallurgist at Exco Engineering, where he leads R&D in metal AM for the high-pressure die casting industry. His work centers on powder chemistry and LPBF process optimization for tool steels, stainless steels, and Inconel alloys. He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Toronto and completed postdoctoral research at McMaster University on sandwich steel hybrids, dual-phase heat treatments, and 3D-printed beta titanium for aerospace. At this panel, Khaled will share Exco’s hands-on experience with large-scale metal AM and explore its transformative impact on industrial manufacturing.
